Intermediate level and up
Our Competition Team Training Program is designed for motivated students who are ready to take their Taekwondo training beyond regular classes and experience the exciting world of competitive Taekwondo.
You do not need to be a Black Belt to join our Competition Team. Students may begin from the intermediate level, based on their skill, commitment, attitude, and instructor recommendation.
The program provides specialized training for students who want to develop into high-performance athletes and represent Tiger Taekwondo at local, provincial, national, and other competitive events.
High-performance sparring training
Competition Team training focuses on developing the physical, technical, and mental skills required for Taekwondo Kyorugi (Sparring) competition. Training may include:
- Advanced kicking techniques & combinations
- Competition sparring strategies and tactics
- Speed, power & explosive movement
- Footwork, distance & timing
- Reaction and counter-attacking skills
- Match simulation & situational sparring
- Strength, conditioning & endurance
- Flexibility, mobility & injury prevention
- WT-style competition rules and scoring
- Mental preparation & competitive confidence
Students learn how to perform under pressure, adapt to different opponents, understand competition strategy, and develop the discipline required to become a successful athlete.
More than winning medals
Competition training is not only about winning.
Our athletes learn the importance of commitment, sportsmanship, resilience, teamwork, discipline, and respect. They learn how to handle both victory and defeat and use every competition as an opportunity to become stronger.
For students who demonstrate the ability and dedication to advance further, our goal is to provide a pathway toward higher-level competitive and high-performance Taekwondo.
Become part of the Tigers Competition Team
The Competition Team requires a higher level of attendance, effort, discipline, and commitment than regular Taekwondo classes.
Students are expected to train consistently, support their teammates, maintain a positive attitude, and represent Tiger Taekwondo with pride both inside and outside the ring.
Intermediate students through Black Belts are welcome to work toward joining the team. Competition Team participation is subject to instructor assessment and approval.
Train Together. Compete Together. Grow Together.
